Rise - The Sunrise Sunset Calendar

By Sunrise Sunset Calendar LLC

Open iTunes to buy and download apps.

**Now with Weather and Alerts**

Look up sunrise and sunset times for any day and any place in the world.

**No internet connection required**

Beautifully designed. Remarkably simple to use. Everything within one swipe of your thumb.

Why you'll love it:

1. No internet connection required. If you're 10,000 feet up in the mountains without cell service and need to know what time you should be down the mountain, we got you covered.

2. Beautiful swipe implementation to see the times. Follow the dark purple color with your thumb to see the sunset time appear.

3. Weekly view. Tap the app once to see the sunrise/sunset times for the next 4 days.

4. You can add a weather overlay for your week view. This allows you to see if it will be overcast or sunny when you plan for a photo-shoot, hike or hunting trip.

5. You can also add notifications to alert you when the sun will rise or set.

6. Works with one hand. No pinching or pulling required.

We think we've made the best sunrise/sunset calendar app in the App Store. We hope you enjoy it.

Customer Reviews

Really happy with this app

I shoot a lot of photography and I travel a lot, and I've tried a lot of "photographer specific" sun trackers. But the UI on a lot of those apps are horrible. I want to just get the facts as soon as possible, and have super easy access to choose which location I want to look at.

This app delivers on all fronts. It's far superior to most of the other apps out there, because it is lightning quick to switch between current location and my flight destination.

I really appreciate the time they took to simplify the UI. I may buy the in-app purchases even though I don't need those features, just because I love this app.

Does what's promised

This app gives you a nice View of the sunrise time and the sunset time. It also gives you the first light and the last light, which is sometimes surprisingly separated from the sunrise and sunset times. It's easy to flip back-and-forth between the two, though to the uninitiated it might be a little bit hard to remember which is the sunset time in which is the sunrise time. There's no real distinction on the illustration which might be an improvement for a future edition. All in all, this is a nice display of the times and a nice clean app!

Don't know why I see so many poor reviews here? This is a simple app that does an outstanding job! I am a campground manager in Colorado and often need to know when I will have early first light and also when the sun will actually rise. Does the job accurately and with simplicity. Use this every workday! Love it!
