Simple and Effective, I love it.
I've tried lots of recovery apps and this is one of my favourites along with Recovery Record. Lately I've been using this one more since my eating habits have become more "normal" and I've been getting a lot better thanks to Recovery Record for the past few years. But alas, I'm still struggling, so Rise Up has been the best little helper in my journey. It helps me keep in check with my habits and emotions quickly and on the go and reminds me to eat without making me feel triggered. I highly recommend this app especially to people who would like PDF progress of their journey which could be helpful for the self and for clinical meetings.
Best tool for bringing awareness to relationship with food
I'm 21 and currently in a real recovery program for the first time, although ED started when I was 12. Meal plans typically stress me out, but the Recovery Warriors Rise Up app is a great way to simultaneously track intake and emotions and notice patterns that I wasn't fully aware of before. I use it as a sort of diary to communicate the thoughts/feelings that I don't have time to fully explain in a single meeting with my dietitian, but that she can see in the reports I send her weekly via the app. It's super user-friendly and convenient.
I'm still a baby in my recovery, and I'm glad I found this app. Meal tracking is so easy. I've tried other meal trackers and many of them were either too complicated or very triggering - not the best choice for someone who tends to obsess over food. Love that I can just type and go. The coping skills section is cool, I'm definitely gonna use the journal prompts. This app is stellar on its own, but there is one feature I would love to see! It would be nice if there was a little section for notes, to log realizations, milestones, or feelings.
