Rite Aid warned NOT to use this app
I had just seen the Walgreens app which has excellent reviews and user abilities. Since I am now getting my prescriptions from Rite Aid, I looked into this app. I read all the Fail reviews and called the pharmacist. The Rite Aid pharmacist stated that the app is known to have bugs. The main purpose of the app is, or should be, for patients to reorder the prescriptions and attend to other health-related issues. The simple fact is - the prescription portion of the app simply does not work. Thus rendering the app basically useless.
There are other apparent problems as well, such as showing your password, and not turning off when left unattended for a lengthy period of time. The Rite Aid corporation really should get on the ball and fix these issues immediately. They are already late in the game to get something like this up and running properly. I eagerly await the problem resolves so I can use it.
Great that they fixed the scanning issue. Now if only the prescriptions that are ready for refill from history could actually be refilled. Instead, I have to call to talk to the pharmacist who tells me I could "obviously" have done it online.
On top of that, I get the HIPAA thing and appreciate that if I try to refill from history, then leave the app open for an hour any potential phone thief can't find out a about that I'm on birth control and have an autoimmune disorder and occasionally have panic attacks. But if I leave the app for less than five seconds to check a text, is it absolutely necessary to log back in? Even if I go to a less secure part of the app, I have to log back in immediately. This is made especially stupid since if you go to "refill by number" it actually shows you your password, which is definitely NOT okay.
No longer able to order prescriptions using the "Manage Prescriptions" check prescriptions feature. Receive error "Can not refill selected prescriptions" "OK". Scan and order by number still function. Please fix this wonderful feature. 5 stars before this problem.
