Only App I Use Now
Don't normally write reviews bc I'm lazy but I'm a blogger and I take pics with my iPhone for Instagram and my blog and I have tried every free filter app and I went from 3 apps to edit insta pics to just this one, the free filters they give you are dope but I might purchase some I love them so much. It does all the work for you and the higher res the photo the better the filter looks but they work great on my crappy dark pics and the editing options are so amazing. I can edit in 2 minutes and it look amazing and consistent. Thank you for making this app so amazing and free. You saved my insta <3
Just downloaded this last night and from what I can tell, it's pretty good. I like the fact that they're emulating specific film types and the grain structure looks pretty realistic. The UI is very user-friendly too. My only complaint so far? The film packs are a little on the pricey side, and when I tried to use the grain with the black-and-white film, it came out colored. Colored grain with black and white film? Come on, gotta fix that. Other than that, I like it. If you're into VSCO cam, you'll like this. Maybe even more.
My first impression was that the app is quite common. But when I started playing with film profiles, I've been sold completely.
RNI film profiles are very true to the original film emulsions, at least to those brands I am familiar with. And it's image output has that very specific analog flair and fading that I haven't seen in any other digital tool.
All the filters feel just right somehow. Especially impressed with Kodachromes.
Also pleased with RNI support. Had a chat with them about their desktop filters - Mike was a nice person to talk to and super quick to reply.
The app has some odds, for example it allows you to crop only once, when you open the photo but I give it five stars and my money despite all that. Just don't spoil it and don't fix what ain't broken.
