"RobotGladi8or combines Infinity Blade's Unreal graphics and hand-to-hand combat with a spooky sci-fi setting that reminded us of Dead Space." --SlideToPlay
"very enjoyable and well worth the purchase: 8 of 10" --TapByte
"You can't miss this game!" --Best10Apps
Abandoned on a derelict space station for the amusement of viewers across the galaxy, you must battle the increasingly ferocious robots that occupy its labyrinthine depths, all while pursuing revenge against the sadistic media mogul who has orchestrated your fate.
RobotGladi8tor brings swipe-fighting to a new level, incorporating intense first-person battles, fully open-world exploration, challenging obstacles, and a compelling story of revenge. Features include:
-- Three difficulty levels and optional visual hints, tailoring gameplay from casual to hardcore.
-- Ten mega-battles against varied and increasingly unbeatable robotic opponents.
-- Fully rendered open-world 3D environments, including the cavernous hangar bay, labyrinthine corridors, the medical lab, the robot manufactory, the Andromeda Lounge, the control terminal, and more.
-- Challenging obstacles, discoverable tools, weapons upgrades, and minibots.
-- Two first-person riding experiences: the CARGOSKID (switch tracks to avoid deadly crashes) and the MAGLEV (battle on a rushing tunnel transport).
-- pulse-pounding original music score by composer Isaias Garcia.
Crank up the volume, warm up your titanium exo-skeletal fists, and prepare to battle your way toward total destruction with RobotGladi8tor.
If you can get past the robot arms and confusing gameplay, the game is not really that bad. However, it was MUCH shorter than I anticipated... giving me around an hour and a half of full game playing time, including my seemingly random exploring that got me nowhere the majority of the time. I gave four stars on the account that Unreal is quite reliable with games such as this (e.g. Infinity Blade), but they don't call the shots, as they don't own the rights, so we'll see. I doubt that they would stamp their name on something like this and let them leave it unfinished, though. For now, I would probably stay away from this game; but if you are confident enough that more content will be added, go ahead and take advantage of the price reduction. Hope this helped, from your fellow IOS gamer!
This is a lot of fun. Swipes are picked up every time and the enemies require some thinking. I can't just throw my finger at the screen and win every time. Initially I had the hints up and about the time I started thinking I wanted them gone it asked if I still wanted them. Way to read my mind! Haven't finished yet but will soon. For $3 you should buy this. It isn't infinity blade and doesn't try to be. That's good! It has a similar play style, but also contains puzzles and a story beyond "avenge 18 generations of oppression. Whoops! 19 generations."
Fantastic intergalactic adventure
The story and graphics are absolutely top-notch, and with the several difficulty options, it's a game that's easy to enjoy by gamers of all skill levels. The gameplay style is largely a swipe-and-tap turn-based method, with other unique challenges interspersed among the primary fights.
The game design and production quality are both outstanding for an iOS game, and are well worth the money for the few hours of entertainment that it's sure to provide. Do yourself a favor and download this one.
