Fixed App Crash
App support is terrible
I liked the app of the bat but found several problems with it instantly like the music streaming playback was speeding my music up when sent through my roku so everything sounded like it was playing at like 1.5x faster than it should be and I had some suggestions and sent a feedback email from a link in the app but have gotten no reply in a week, when normally I would have seen some form of response from other developers, also my playback keeps stopping and doesn't always go to the next song after one finishes and the now playing button is almost never there to be able to click, not to mention there is no way to see how far the song is in the playback or being able to fast forward the song being sent to my roku. I'm just dissatisfied with the lacking support for this so that I have had, and the app crashes often when trying to skip songs, and has no volume control from the device, just a lot of things that should be obvious and maybe just no one has told the developer about that kind of feature but no one getting back to me is very frustrating.
Only 2 Issues
After my baby continuously chewed on and slobbered all over my Roku remote, it stopped working. I thought I was screwed. Until my brother told me about this app. The Roku Remote app is a life saver & extremely convenient seeing how we (we as a society) are always on our phones.
The only 'bad' to this app are 2 issues....
The first being that sometimes it lags. If I push pause, it will finally pause the program 30-45 seconds later.
The second issue (the most frustrating out of the two) is it will say that my phone and Roku are not on the same network. To fix it, I have to sign out of the remote app and sign back in a few times.
But other than those 2 issues, it's an awesome app.
Using this app from iPod touch 4th generation. Copy of the remote minus the option to use ear buds to listen to the tv and play games, you can do with ROKU 3. It works as fast or faster than the remote. Do yourself a favor and download now. ROKU says you can only use one remote at a time. Until this app, I had wondered what I would do if the remote wore out or was damaged. Now, I have a back up that I can use in conjunction with the original remote. It's unfortunate ROKU does mention or recommend this app! THANKS FOR THE APP!!!!!
