A perfect port of the perfect game

I am almost finished with my first play through of the game and it is exactly as I remember it. The game runs smoothly on my iPad mini 2. Frame rate drops are common during large engagements but the game has never crashed. The grand campaign has been ported flawlessly. My biggest (maybe only) gripe is that the AI is just as dumb as ever. AI often make ridiculous decisions during battle and often seem to roam aimlessly on the campaign map. But, not a deal breaker. This is the best strategy game on the App Store hands down. I've been looking for a total war alternative for years, and now we get the real thing!

Finally here

I've waited for this game to come to the iPad for a very long time. It's a BIG game and there were glitches in the PC version so of course there are some in this as well. The main ones I've seen are a tendency for Patavium and Narbo Martius to throw recruits outside city walls. Some difficulty grabbing units for movement and I'm having a lot of trouble creating formations on the battlefield.
But I am NOT complaining! The game is the most realistic for the era and I look forward to many happy gaming hours.
Thank you.

Favorite game in the App Store

This game is extremely fun and addictive! I have thoroughly enjoyed playing through this game and have a no complaints until recently. During my campaign (I'm doing a long campaign and I'm pretty far in) whenever I conquer Rome the game crashes whenever I attempt to occupy, enslave, etc... that is literally the only problem (and what keeps it from being 5 stars) but other than that I would happily pay again for another total war game for the iPad. Would like to see napoleon as the next one.
