Customer Reviews
one of the good ones
I enjoyed this game tremendously. I like the way the difficulty generally increases but not overly quickly and love the interesting ways/tricks that allow you to solve the puzzles: buttons to change available tiles, transporters, etc. I, too, however, had issues with the swipe controls. No matter how careful I tried to be, there were many times I went in the wrong direction. Granted, all you have to do is start over but I really don't want to be forced to repeat levels when the problem isn't due to my stupidity. Kind of a waste of time. That issue, along with the slow response/movement of the roofbot in response to my swipes, forced me to drop a star. Would probably give 4.5 stars if I could. Yes, I know you can swipe multiple times to keep ahead of the bot's movement but if the bot goes wrong somewhere in there there is a delay before you know and you can only back up one square so you're s.o.l unless it is the last move you made. And you still have to wait for the bot to finish. Minor complaints aside, it is a wonderful game and well worth getting.
Odd...
I decided to write a review after finishing the first 20 levels because I thought the moving-around interface was great (with the puzzles being slightly repetitive). Then I read that most recent players have complained *about* the controls for moving around.
I don't know if they've realized that you can motion for advance steps before the game actually completes motions (e.g. If I know I want to move 4 spaces down (collecting/dropping shapes along the way if need be) and then 1 space left, I can quickly swipe down 4 times and then left, and the robot will execute each step. You don't have to wait for a command to complete before giving the next step in the sequence.
The graphics and general atmosphere are delightfully colorful, and I'm definitely impressed with how responsive the game is to the "controls," especially once you've figured out the path and just want to quickly swipe through the remainder of the tiles w/out waiting for Roofbot to catch up.
Ok puzzle game
The game itself is good. Nice graphics, decent puzzles. However, it's a nightmare to play. The swipe control is just awful. When teaching the game it won't allow you to bypass certain things like using a hint for the first time. Also at level 13 it switched to the Christmas pack. I had no option to play that pack later and to switch back to the main game I had to figure out the absolutely unintuitive menus.
Once you get beyond the awful game mechanics and terrible menus it's a fun game. Also, probably shouldn't name the character "Roofie," just saying.
