Elephant Borrowed Life from Other Games to Create a Great One!
Based on Free Trial:
I am passing on this game to save som money, but this is a good game to play if you have nothing else to play. There are some definite improvements in this game as our Royal Detective investigates some Evil Statues. Elephant re-uses the same plot of a kidnapping, but throws a nice twist into the game with statues plotting their revenge against the sculptor, Tristan. This game feels like a Puppetshow game with statues and less dark subjects. Elephant made some definite improvements in their mobile graphics department because these are the best graphics I have seen in a long time! They could still use some cleaning up, especially during cutscenes. There is a custom difficulty and a functioning teleport map. I have two quibbles with this game. The first is that the demo is short and does not give you enough to decide whether to buy. The PC demo lets you play until the first main plot twist in the game. Why can't we, the mobile players, have the same privilege? The second is the game is incredibly easy and straightforward, especially the puzzles. The puzzles are not very creative and are too easy. There needs to be an option that lets you choose between an easy and hard difficulty for puzzles. My true rating is 3.5 rounded up to 4. Elephant, please start responding to messages on your Facebook and website.

This was not a unique or unusual game; I found it boring and ordinary. I expected more considering that the developer was Elephant.
You could customize settings. The graphics were pleasant but not very crisp or clear. The storyline was easy to follow. There was no cohesive journal but objectives were regularly updated. This was a very short game, even with the bonus adventure. There was a marked teleport map which enabled instantaneous transportation between locations. At each location there were morphing objects, and at certain locations were collectible artifacts. The map indicated if there was still an artifact to be found. Inventory was labeled and there were complex items to assemble. The HO scenes had variation. Most of the puzzles/games were simplistic or were of the rotational genre. I found most of them dull and mindless. The gameplay was smooth, as Elephant has excellent quality assurance.
There was no wow factor in this game. It was very average. If you buy it, I would say do so while it's on sale. My actual review is 2.5 stars. Hopefully we will get a better game on Thursday. Happy gaming, reviewers!
I have played dozens of Big Fish games, and this game was the first to inspire a new guideline: check the length of the walkthrough before buying. If I had seen the whopping 21 pages and 3 chapters, I would have realized that the "14 puzzles" promised by Elephant wasn't a misprint.
The gameplay was less than two hours, and the two bonus chapters don't make up for this massive deficiency. Neither do the bells and whistles like the 9 achievements and 15 collectibles (I'm exaggerating these numbers a bit, but not by much). The HOPs and mini games weren't glitchy, but they were painfully easy as noted by others.
2.5 stars rounded up to 3 because of the improvement in graphics. I am angry and I bought this on sale at $3.99. I can't imagine how $6.99 purchasers will react.
