The next installment in the smash hit JRPG series, Alphadia II, is finally here! It’s time to unleash your energi once again and enjoy an immersive experience in a new and exciting world honed to perfection with a massive graphical overhaul, richly developed characters, and a streamlined battle system!
Alphadia II takes players on an unforgettable adventure 200 years after the events of the first Alphadia. Though after seemingly being lost to the inhabitants of the world, energi once again makes its appearance, and before long begins to drive opposing powers into an all out scramble to take control of this ever diminishing resource.

Energi… the source of power interconnected with all living things.
In times of old, the human race erected a great civilization that thrived on the use of this power. However, some two centuries earlier, an incident known as the Energi Crisis erupted and led to the planet's energi being sealed away. As a result, people lost the mysterious powers they were once capable of harnessing.
The story now picks up with the protagonist, Leon, who has been assigned to his first solo mission by the Energi Guild. And there within his mind echo the words of the guildmistress when she stated: "Energi is the hidden power within each individual. It is the power of the heart and mind, and when purposefully sought, its true potential is unleashed."
■Nostalgia at its best! It’s like old-school meets new-school with perfect harmony!
Sporting a colorful and gorgeously detailed 2D battle system, individual break skills, elementals that combine to create more powerful energi skills, and even an auto-battle function, Alphadia II comes equipped with everything fans of traditional JRPGs could expect and caters to both RPG and casual gamer alike!
■Energi is the key!
Energi is derived from one of six unique elementals and has the power to not only grow, but lead players to the acquisition of new and more powerful energi skills. These energi skills then, in turn, play an integral role in attack, recovery, and even support. Furthermore, once two separate elementals have reached a certain level, they can be combined to create even more powerful energi skills!
■Can you handle it?!
Aside from a voluminous story, Alphadia II offers a new "Mission" system in which players are able to accept missions from the guild in order to receive valuable coins. These coins can then be exchanged for powerful equipment and other hard-to-get items later on. In addition to the main story and missions is a wealth of subquests, making this title truly the whole package. In fact, after finishing the game, there may be still much more to do than one might think!
This game operates on 3rd generation and later iPhone3GS/iPod touch (later than iOS4.3).
The game will not run correctly on the 1st and 2nd generation iPhone 3G and iPod touch.

What a terrible disappointment.
Asides from unfinished quest, (about 2 that you can't complete.) (lack of any replay after finish.) a myrmiad of items you collect without much purpose, and another same story alphadia! Oh woe, history repeats itself! What dynamics!
Few things have changed for this installment sequel and other items removed (beastiary, purpose), still another auto battle rpg in line for those who decide to buy this title.
Linear story arch-less surprises will captivate you unless you have no imagination or lack there of creativity. Hero > quest (incompletable quests = booooo) > end game. Few eggs to discovery for the those who want to trick out their characters w/ "legendary artifacts." (Rather, a huge joke.)
The gameplay is simple, roughly 99% of your field battles will consist of doing auto turn. Except for super hard island that has npcs way stronger then extra bosses. Even some story boss monsters can be churned out w/ auto battle. Even reading this paragraph, auto battle is turned on.
I was kind of bummed out that no monster in game has their own special moves, except everybody just mimics npcs/boss spells, aside from hero specials, not much.
Overall spent 35 hrs playing this game.
One annoying aspect is the intense monster encounter ratio everywhere. Auto. Auto. End review.
Running this game on iphone4, i've noticed tiny spurts of blocky movement when on the field. (Weird, but w/e, right?)
Review as of Second Mission
So far the game seems really good. I'm looking forward to finding out more of backstory of the characters. The problem is that the controls seem to spontaneously not respond- the button will "depress" but the action related to it will not occur. Not a major issue given the game is turn based, but a slight hassle. Also, as I said the button is "pressed" but the action does not occur so I do not believe that my product is at fault. Other than that seems like a great game, one that I look forward to progressing in as it is reminiscent of the first Final Fantasy.
Also, Grievlocke my game does have music, so I am not sure where you are getting that idea from. You should try reinstalling the game, or you may be playing on a non-compatible system.
A good ol' fashioned 16-bit jRPG
*** Fix needed for Energi Guild sable pollen mission. I have the five needed but it won't let me complete. I think I started the sable pollen quest with the pharmacist before taking the mission so maybe that's related to the glitch. I see others have had the issue.
There's nothing groundbreaking about this game, visually or gameplay-wise but it is pretty much what you should expect it to be: a very solid SNES-era RPG with decent story and amusing characters with just enough mystery to make you want to find out what the full story is. Game mechanics are hyper-traditional. It is true that autobattle will be used most of the time and it doesn't feel like so many of the spells and items are ever needed. Still, for the price and the expectation it scratches that nostalgic itch nicely.
