Description

Long-awaited sequel to the Alphadia series with refined controls and 3D battles!
Is the truth really black and white or is it merely one of many shades of gray?

Celesia- a world once rich and abundant with a source of power known as "energi."
This same energi was not only the foundation, but also the origin of all life.
And from its blessing, Celesia grew bright and prosperous.
Everyone had believed its radiant, white light would never dim.
However, their faith was shattered when another energi appeared in the world and began to alter everything as they knew it.
Its darkness of blackest black obliterated the light and beckoned only chaos and destruction...
Its influence like the gloaming was called "black energi" and both feared and hated.
And under the ruling Emperor of the time, it was ordered purged from the face of Celesia.
Along with those infected by it...

- What is justice?
While claiming to protect its citizens, the Empire has launched a ruthless campaign of genocide against the Atramian population- those said to be infected with black energi and whose existence they deem to be a threat to the world. Yet are things as clear as they seem or are there more sinister forces at work? Discover the true face of evil as this next chapter in the Alphadia series reaches to new heights and weaves the convictions of many into a story filled with belief, sacrifice, revenge, and ultimately hope!

Aiming to provide optimum usability for smartphone users, many functions along with the user interface have received a major overhaul. These include swiping gestures to move between pages, rolling menus, control schemes with increased flexibility, and adjustable encounter rates to name a few.

- Boost Slots & Jobs
When using normal attacks or energi, boosts can be applied to increase hit count and strength. Moreover, individual special skills can, in exchange for boost slots, quickly turn the tide of battle in the party's favor. Therefore, knowing when to use boosts and special skills will likely hold the key to victory.
There are four types of job orbs, which include fighter, healer, knight, and mage. By equipping these orbs, various energi can be either learned or used. Rumor has it, however, there is even a hidden fifth job!

Never ending surprises. Major spoiler in review

So I got the sequel that I never thought would happen. The game "continued" where the last Alphadia Genesis game ended. The mechanics felt improved from the first but I do have some concerns. I don't know if it was intentional or not but the battle rank makes it almost impossible to get an S rank and even getting A ranks is tricky. Beating enemies in one turn will get you an A rank one battle and the next battle all the sudden you have a C rank. It may have been my fat fingers but I liked the battle menu options from the first game more than this one. Those are my two major concerns with the game. Now for the good stuff. Getting points to buy items from the web store is so easy in this game compared to the first. A ranks give you one point and S ranks give you 4. I think this is why getting S ranks is so hard. The animations in the 3D battles looks better than the first. **Spoiler** The game's ending oh man is it mind blowing. KEMCO you have made me both happy and angry at the same time. How can you just make poor Enah go through an endless loop!? Please make a third game that will finally let Enah be at peace. This game can is a prequel to the first for now depending on what happens in Alphadia Genesis 3.

Great Game with One Great Flaw

Like every single Kemco game, awesome with the same glaring flaw in every game they put out. I’m of course referring to how the enemy health and attacks are set to completely absurd levels of difficulty. Even on the “Easy” mode in the game boss type monsters are very very difficult to defeat. Any modes above “easy” are insanely hard to have success in because of the huge imbalance between where your party’s stats are in the game and the health/attack of the opposing monsters/bad guys. If you have say, 500 health and the enemy has say 20,000 health and the enemy is using attacks that knock you out in one go, you have little if any chance to win the fight. This is what happens in every game. In one game, my party was traveling on a ship and multiple times were attacked by an enemy that defeated my party without ever giving me a chance to fight!! And that was on “easy” mode! Normal through hard modes are 10 times worse! Completely ridiculous!! I think I have made my point.

Story and mechanics had me hooked.

Great title. There is lots of customization to be had and strategies to employ.

The ranking bonuses in battle are an excellent touch and make it so you don't have to grind so much. But if you do want to grind, the quick battle and encounter rate options are fantastic. Turning off battle effects make it even faster! Oh, and the 3d in the battles looks great too!

The arena the most well done I've seen in a Kemco release. The king battles are a steep difficulty curve...especially since the really powerful spells that attack all enemies only work on one at a time! But I found the battles to be a little more strategic, especially in the hidden arena. It wasn't simply monsters with insane stats like usual. Bravo!

Finally the story. Excellent! I was wondering who the real villain would end up being. Many of the characters had dimension to them.

Gripes: quest 19 (swap quest) is broken. A few more secrets in dungeons. Dungeon layout is labyrinthine to the point of ridiculousness. Consider more puzzles and secret tunnels to make them more interesting...or a fog for unexplored area (not to thick though)

Overall, one of the best Kemco releases yet!
