Another MMO

So, it’s the standard MMO formula, though it has a lot going for it. There’s lots of classes and interesting takes on them, there’s plenty of variety between characters and all that. The quests and lower floors are typical kill-em-all stuff.

My biggest gripe is the skill/stat descriptions. There’s no way to know a lot of stuff about many of the skills and what stats they scale with. There’s a few tidbits, like a general summary of what the skill does, but usually even then you’re better off testing them to really see what they do.

Except past level 30, there’s no going back on character development decisions. Once you’re a strength character, you have those stats until you rebirth, even if you go into a subclass that relies on intelligence (prime example being warrior going into Dark Knight, a class you’ll want to use, but who relies on intelligence for DPS). So you can’t reliably plan character decisions, yet need to in order to be effective... Not a good combination.

Luckily, most of it seems somewhat intuitive, and rebirthing is something that (probably) resets your stuff and is (probably) something you’ll want to do, but it’s still a rusty part of the game that needs fixing. (Only hit level 50, so I haven’t experienced it firsthand yet myself)

Other than that, it is really interesting. The combat is a fresh change from MMORPGs like WoW, lots of interesting classes and builds to make, and all that stuff.

The Issue

With the removal of trading the game has become less and less enjoyable and here are the reasons. I am struggling to stay alive because you can barely get gold and Potions cost a lot also and because of that I'm spending a lot of my time trying to get better armor which btw also takes a lot of time. Stall basically was a huge part of the game. I don't know what exactly happened with the trade system but it was absolutely an extreme move to remove it I mean the game is still enjoyable but it's the constant irritation of running out of potions not have enough gold to get potions trying to get better armor to make up for the lack of potions not getting armor that's strong enough because you can't complete the armor dungeon why? Because your out of potions. Something that would be much better is make a new version of the trade system so that the games fans a enjoy the game more because at the games is less fun and more stressful.

Yes, the game is great, but the gameplay needs improvement. I'm only on floor 6 but I'm guessing further floors are the same. Every floor is the same routine. Kill new monsters a few times, turn in quest, gather materials, turn in quest, final floor quest, finish and it repeats that. Im not certain anyone agrees with me, but it to make the game more unique and fun, quests should be more challenging or adventurous. Now for designs. All the weapons and armors are the same, just have different stats. I don't really think we have to have an avatar to change an item's look. Each weapon/armor should have a different design. Some may agree, some won't, but it's just an opinion. And instead of just re-coloring monsters and re-naming them, there should be different monsters on each floor. I know this is a bit much, but it could improve AVABEL a lot.
