This tool gives you the ability to analyze the quality of your audio system in an accurate way and to find out the sound intensity your system emits at different frequencies. Easily find frequency swings, then set up your equalizer to take them into account based on the information provided by the app. RTA Audio analyzes the signal from a microphone or the line-in input.

frustrated but pleased with performance

I first tried the “free” version, and was pleased with it enough to buy the in-app purchases. I was also pleased with those. So a couple of months later when I saw this version with the new GREEN icon, I thought I’d go ahead and buy it based upon my experience with the upgraded “free” version. I presumed that if they offered both, this one must have a whole lot of interesting additions. I was wrong. It’s the same app but with the “in-app purchases” already applied. I’m frustrated that it didn’t give me a “you’ve already purchased this app” warning, like EVERY other app has done. Instead, it happily took another $6.99. Disappointed in this aspect, though it doesn’t take away from the performance of the app itself.

Great value

I have found that this app is very accurate for the price. I have used it to tune a few different sound systems. Very helpful to get the system close before fine tweaking. I use it to take screen shots during live performances with people in the room then, i will use the screen shots to tweak frequencies that are consistently higher than i want.

Buy it

Awesome, everything I wanted and more.
