Rubber Band Audio allows you to speed up or slow down music recordings and change their pitch. It features BPM detection and sync and tempo controls, gives a huge range of usable stretch and transpose factors, and provides high-quality results suitable for musical use.
With Rubber Band Audio, you can stretch and transpose your music or voice recording using the sophisticated Rubber Band timestretcher technology developed by Breakfast Quay. You can audition all your adjustments live, and export the results as new audio files.

This version supports selecting a range from a track, in order to audition, loop, or export a section of your music. It also adds keyboard shortcuts (the cursor keys) for speed and pitch, and complete hi-resolution rendering on Retina displays. File export is sometimes faster than before and some bugs have been fixed.

Does exactly what it is supposed to!
I was having the hardest time transposing audio files down a whole step to practice guitar parts in the right key. It used to take me about 15 mins per song to transpose the audio in ProTools. With this app it has now decreased down to about 30 seconds a song. Rubber Band doesn't do a lot, but it definitely does what it is supposed to do, and it does it well. Also works with .mp4 files which is huge. I highly recommend this app...
Very good app!
I was pleasantly surprised with this app - it does just what it says, and it EXPORTS altered music to wav and mp3. Exporting is usually reserved for apps that cost $50, so this was a welcome surprise. My only request is that it would allow you to specify exactly what percentage to change the speed (e.g. 75%, 50%), instead of dragging a dial. Something similar to the tempo dialog boxes, but for speed percentage. This would make it easier for me to sync exported music to videos, which is what I'm using this app for.
Works great! Greater if drag & drop direct from iTunes.
Software ably does its job. I use it to speed up podcasts and iTunes U lectures. Works on any iTunes file (audio or video) I throw at it. I especially like the adjustments for Crispness and Stereo Focus: very helpful. My only suggestion: the ability to drag and drop items directly from iTunes. Give me that, and I'll award six stars. Keep up the good work.
