Fixed issues with iOS 8.
Crash & Burn
I only gave this app two stars because when it worked, it worked great. However, when I use the bluebook portion of the app it immediately crashes to the desktop. It is now useless and I am forced to purchase a hard copy of the bluebook. When I pay money for apps from the Apple Store, which is something I rarely do, I expect them to work. I find it amazing that the apps that are free I have no issues with, but the apps that I pay for, I do. I had thought about purchasing Blacks Law dictionary from the app store as well, but will now purchase a hardcopy version as I am afraid it will crash as well.
This app is a GAME CHANGER
I'm a trial lawyer, and this app is a game changer for me. First, Rulebook has reduced my annual expenditure on codebooks from about $75 to less than $20. That alone is reason enough to make it worthwhile.
Second, more importantly, I used to carry a briefcase full of books and resources--including my trusty 4-in-1 codebook--that I would need in court, depositions, or meetings, and it still was not enough. Now I have an entire library constantly at my fingertips.
Third, Rulebooks is far easier to navigate than any set of books. Fourth, you can still use Rulebook like a book by highlighting and bookmarking important constitutional or statutory provisions. Great app.
The customer service is very responsive.
The user interface could use a little spit and polish, but it's simple enough to use.
Still, Broken with IOS 8
I really love this app. It is handy and convienent, but it does not work well with IOS 8. First problem, the app does not show content in portrait mode -- it needs to be turned on its side for landscape mode. This makes the app useless in portrait mode. Second problem, the app crashes when trying to email files.
When the app works, it is a five star app. The developers need to update it for IOS 8.
The recent fix for IOS 8 solved neither problem i described.
