iPhone Screenshots

Measure ANY length, even things that are longer than your iPhone.

Clear digital readout. Easy to use. Short tutorial included.

Measurements are displayed in inches and centimeters.

Personal note: I built this app because I needed to measure a painting to get it framed. I thought, "there's gotta be an app that lets me measure this with my iPhone." But I couldn't find one. So I built it. Thanks for checking out Ruler Magic! - Philip (the developer)

What's your problem people

I am a developer too (insert plug here: numbers cruncher) ;). Youall have to appreciate ingenuity when you see it. This app is a great idea and does what it says it will. Took me about 1 minute to figure it out (actually pressed the "how to use" button). It's easy to use and clever.
To developer: Would be cool if it had a ruler on the screen too. Even better if the ruler slid under your finger as you moved phone

Decent Rough Estimate

Not so Steady Eddie

I get within an inch for items between 1 and 6 feet; that's slightly better than my estimates. But app is still too unwieldy to use for anything much longer than that, like room dimensions. Maybe worth 99 cents, but not sure how often I will use. Easier to use holding in the air rather than sliding across a surface (my phone has a rubbery case).

Pud, I love you and you're a genius.

But this is a million times more work than just whipping out my tape measure. In fact, it's even more work than driving to the nearest Home Depot, buying a tape measure that only reads metric, using it, and converting to Imperial. I wish you'd explained how it works here, then I wouldn't have to ask for my 99 cents back.
