I use this app on a 2nd generation iPod Touch, and I wasn't sure exactly how this was all going to work. When I tried it out, it seemed to work great! Thing is, the calorie count seems to be a little low, and the GPS feature was all screwed up. I wasn't sure what to expect, although, because since there would be no internet access or anything for the app to use, s the GPS might not've recorded at all. But when I got back home, it showed me a route that was in the general area of my run, only the line was messed up. First, it would show me running through lakes and houses, and when I moved the map, it would turn into a straight line. So I was a bit frustrated, because seeing that it actually had an idea of where I was, I had gotten my hopes up. Also, I had measured out my distance to be a mile previously, so I knew what distance I would be covering, but on the app, it says it was only 0.86 of a mile, which I hope is untrue (because otherwise I'd be cutting my run short). But it was still a great stopwatch, and it DOES record my time.
Better than the others!
This is one of my favorite apps. I use it just about every day to track how long I walked my dogs. This app is less intrusive than some of the other walking/jogging apps because it does not make you login. I used to use iMap My Run until I realized that all my walks are saved online. I don't want to share where I have been with others and I don't want some company saving where I have been. This app does not require a login or any personal information. It's perfect and highly recommended.
Erases data during exercise
There are things I love about this app and things I hate. It can stop and erase all of your data from that particular exercise you are doing as if you hadn't done it. I also hate that you cannot go back into an exercise and change it, say, from a walk to a run, or enter exercise already accomplished as a "new route". Perhaps there is a way to do this and I have not figured it out. In any case, I am very angry that I just completed my best workout so far this year and it erased the data just before I finished, so I was not able to save it or know my time or accomplishment.
