Customer Reviews

Still the best!

Going on 5 years and over 4250 miles of running with this app. The rest of this review is what I wrote last year, and it still applies: I love this app; I’ve reviewed it before and just paid my yearly subscription to elite, which is the best value investment I spend on running gear all year long. This app is full of features, and screens can be customized extensively to suit your needs. I can’t comment on apple watch integration, where the lags are between the watch and program, and if that is the watches problem or not. I can comment on this app as a stand alone product and compared to 4 or 5 other apps I’ve tried, this is the only one still on my phone, with over 3100 miles logged. I’ve set up interval and tempo runs and used Runmeter to train for and run my first marathon. I like tracking the mileage on my shoes that I rotate between, and easily seeing my mileage for the week, month, or year. I don’t consider myself a runner, just someone who runs for enjoyment, and this app is great for recording the highs, aches, recovery, unexpected cloud bursts and everything in between. The developers are great and have responded within a few hours the few times I’ve written, and have been genuinely appreciative of a bug report, along with a solution. This is one of the few (fewer than 5) apps I consult daily.

Worth every dollar I paid

Update: downgraded from 5 stars to 3 stars after I got my Watch 2 because the Watch app does not work standalone, it requires that I carry the phone while running, so I really cannot use this app any longer.

Original review: This was well worth the $20 I paid for it--but for the fact I paid much less. Useful application with excellent value that really helps me track how much and how far I am running and walking. The application contains a lot of functionality, including tracking different types of workouts, graphing workout stats, history, and other. I haven’t tested heart rate tracking. The down side to all this functionality is interface. A couple screens on Runmeter are a little confusing but otherwise once you get it set up it isn’t too hard for daily use. I am really glad to see the vendor continuing to support this application and to keep it up to date.

Runmeter or go home

In a word, the best. It's sad that if you google the app your hard pressed to find any reviews or info. Think of the app as a garmin on steroids. It takes effort on your part to set it up just right for you and has soooo many options to do so. I have my phone with me for safety for myself and also my parents are older so why not cut the extra clutter and have my phone tracking all my data. Pulse you do not have to put has another device. They are always making tweaks to the app and are the only company that actually reads, responds and gives 100% to the customers that Pay their bills. You do have to pay a year fee for the top end services but well worth it and cheaper then a new watch.
