This game is magic!
I'm a social worker for kids and have used this game for all kinds of things... it's a great ice breaker, distractor tool for when boring stuff is happening (paperwork, etc.), and sometimes it's just something the kiddo can focus on while we talk about hard stuff going on because it increases their felt safety (particularly with older kiddos the game isn't necessarily geared towards since it doesn't require their full attention). With younger kids, it's also fun to have them engage you in the game- where is the cat going? What does he need for the trip? Etc. When used as an ice breaker, I feel like I get a pretty good gauge on the child's developmental level- it's not scientific at all, but it does help guide my interactions.
Today I was at a doctor's appointment and a boy about four or five was melting down after an hour of waiting. He was begging to be taken to school. His mom tried in earnest to distract him and keep him entertained, but he was over it. I brought over the game and voila- he was occupied and content until his name was called.
I've never had a kid who wasn't into this game- even if they were talking about how ridiculous it is.
Great game but please get rid of previews!
The sago mini games are wonderful. This one is no exception and I would give the game itself five stars. But sago keeps having games not available yet previewed at the push of my son's fingers and as an autistic 4 year old he does not understand that he cannot buy the game because it won't be out for at least a month and I have no way of turning off the game previews. Sago please help! It is very distressing to him and WHILE I understand the need to advertise, it shouldn't be to the detriment of your young users. Please help
My 2 year old son loves it
SAGO games are my favorite games for toddlers. They look very nice and you can tell the developers really put a lot of effort into the simple interface. Easy to use. Lots of fun options like which vehicle to choose - the hotdog car is my son's favorite - and he loves packing the car, washing the car and filling up the gas. He needs no help from me but I do love to watch him play. I have several SAGO games and they are all wonderful. Highly recommend for young toddlers.
