Why does this have only a 4?!
Who ever leaves less than a five star review is a complete idiot in every form. Every time I use this I figure out seething amazing it was either meant to do or just does. As a producer of electronic music of nearly 20 years, I can't even imagine anything more useful as far as writing and new inspiration and taking my songs to a new level goes. It would have taken me hours to do on an mpc or mv8800 or anything of this day, that this can do instantly.
It has always crashed when audio pasting but that's remedied by exporting TO samplr
I have used 99.9 % of all software synth, samplers, virtual instruments from everyone from ILIO,to East West,NI, BIgfish, ZEro-G and so on and so forth... This is undoubtfully the most usable and functioning software for creating music that I have ever seen written for PC, Mac or iOS... no exaggeration to say that this takes music to a completely different level that has ever been able to be achieved until now with touch screens... It's almost like they created a new instrument because anything you put into it, has the potential to come out sounding like whatever your imagination makes it.
Also I'd like to add that I use iOS for music production 12 hours or more a day and I see what's stable and what isn't.... Since the beginning I have never noticed this crash or act whiny and be a brat like some huge companies... These guys will take over soon...
No I am not a paid spokesperson for these people LOL
The most profound audio manipulation tool on iOS
Samplr can create complete songs and sound worlds just in the app itself, no DAW or external apps or devices needed. That's cool, but the simple beauty of the app is in the way it allows you to manipulate audio, where import/export is a breeze and tools you could & couldn't think of are present and accounted for. A drum loop, one synth chord, a guitar riff, vocal snippet...any kind of sample/sound you record or import can be morphed and used in startling new, creative ways. I'm just the scratching the surface working with it ....and I am amazed. Highly recommended.
Four stars because...
This app is clearly an exceptional sampler to almost all including me. It doesn't have Bluetooth speaker support though. Im just shocked and disappointed when a great app gets put out of my toolbox because I mainly work with Bluetooth speakers. I would have refrained from buying it if I had known of the lack of Bluetooth support. I have cheap music apps that are very basic that have Bluetooth support. I'm now checking to make sure that any app I have supports Bluetooth speakers before I buy. Seems like a basic standard. Overall amazing sampler app. I want to use it more!! Help!
