The new smartphone app, Samsung SMART CAMERA App. has integrated three existing apps to save time and effort.
When using your Samsung SMART CAMERA, please connect it to your Smartphone or tablet through Wi-Fi in advance
,making your experience much convenient.
Launch a trio of SMART CAMERA apps through your smartphone;
AutoShare, MobileLink, and Remote Viewfinder ? three apps at once, all through a single touch on your phone.

With AutoShare, SMART CAMERA automatically and simultaneously

the instant you take them. It is always handy to have an automatically-saved, extra copy of your photos on your phone as backup, without having to copy or backup each time.

Mobile Link
Your SMART CAMERA communicates with smartphones and tablets, so you can send photos and videos wirelessly via MobileLink. Select one photo or all, press copy and send ? not as a message link or an attachment file but directly, all while retaining the same high quality image without conversion
or compression. It’s so simple, fast, and easy to share!

Remote Viewfinder

Your smartphone acts as a viewfinder for your SMART CAMERA ?ideal in lining up a shot anywhere.

Customer Reviews

Great camera, disappointing software.

When I first got my Samsung NX3000 about a month ago. Out of the box, this app worked great for Camera to Mobile transfers (which is all I planned to use it for.) I wish there was a way to permanently dismiss the information pop-ups, and sometimes they even came up in Korean letters, which was just disorienting. But I could get over that, because up until today, it at least worked.

Then earlier today, the app just crashes. I uninstalled, reinstalled, restarted my phone, restarted the camera.

I can connect to the wi-fi network created by the camera, but as soon as it begins a transfer, the app crashes, and then the camera is frozen in the transfer screen and I have to pop out the battery to force a restart.

I like the wi-fi capability because I use the AutoBackup app on my Mac (though I had to dig around the internet to find the installation file which wasn’t with the camera, or in the internal memory, or even on the Samsung support website)… and that works fine. But sometimes I’m not near my computer and I want to share the pictures.

It’s also confusing that there’s a different app for different models… I tried all of them, but this is the only one that works with my camera.

Holy crap, it works again

After many months or years of complaining, the app finally works again just as it did the first time when I got the camera. I'm very happy that I no longer have to carry an iPad connector to transfer photos. Good job Samsung, you finally fixed it.

Yes, the app can be better but I'll take this over it not working at all.

The app could run in the background (so you can do something else on the phone in the meantime, especially when transferring a lot of pictures), and the app could use features like geotagging.....but again, I rather it works than not.

App MobileLink

There are several posts regarding this app not working properly. I bought the Samsung NX3000 camera and one of the main features that was advertised was it having a mobile link. In iOS world that's a great thing because I don't have to pull the memory card out to get my files to my device. Well, the MobileLink feature simple does not work. First, setting it up is not easy, second, it simply doesn't connect.

Question Samsung, were is the fix? You are a big company, put some resources to this. I simply cannot recommend your photography products to any of my friends if this is how you treat your customers.

I'll check back in a month, if this isn't resolved I am going to forward this to the Apple team that approves iOS apps and recommend it's removal for the AppStore.
