Great break to recharge
I have read some of the negative comments about the statues. In response to that, I say that as a parent, I look at all games before my children download any. If you have been in any museum, those types of statues are part of history. I am "one of those" parents who believe in talking to my children, albeit in an appropriate manner, but you can't put them in a bubble, shield them for every potential, nor, can I be with them 100%. I don't want my children to freak out when exposed to "these" types of things. But to each his own. But this game isn't for my children, it's for me and I have my phone password protected.
I had brain surgery twice in the last 5 years (which were successful with no damage in case one were to automatically consider my point above moot...) have found that the chance to take my focus away from my work and play it towards this type if game has been rather helpful while also entertaining.
The puzzle of it all allowed me to recharge my mental batteries in order to continue on with my day (the surgeries did, however, leave me mentally tired in the middle of the day. To this the Neuro suggested these types of exercises as well as Suduko and other fun games as a break for the mind). SO - "I" have found this to be quite enjoyable actually.
Now...I am ready to get back to work. Thanks for the great break!
Ok first of all, I love these games and I must admit the game was good, BUT (yes there is a 'but' and a very big one at that!) I did NOT appreciate the statues in the room. Let's just say there the ones that aren't wearing clothes and the one when you see them in a museum you quickly avert your children's attention away from them. It is because of them that i will be deleting the app immediately. This is not something I want on my electronic nor for anyone to see. This game is not child appropriate in fact it's not appropriate at all. I also didn't appreciate that there was no warning in the description (but still that wouldn't be enough because no one reads them anyways) and the statues aren't even in the preview pictures (which admittedly could be a good thing). But for parents getting games appropriate for children this is not it. Remove the statues, give them clothes, or take them out entirely, just do SOMETHING! Then and only then I would rate this game with all 5 stars. In the meantime I will be playing more decent games.
Good, needs something extra for 5 stars
The game is an overall good escape game. Challenging, but not so challenging that I spent more than a few minutes to figure out each step. They do a good job connecting the clues with the different parts of the room and leaving it up to us to link the clues for a solution. Some small elements that would improve the game would be to maybe incorporate sound and/or music. The right music can add to the mood and provide a feeling of urgency to escape. However the wrong music (if too repetitive or not a good fit) can be annoying and ruin the game. So add used and make it optional with an easily accessible on/off toggle button for music. Also, some more details in the graphics and maybe animate the aquariums. Other than that, I enjoyed it very much.
