Two out of three bad experiences
Double check and triple check every reservation you make through Savoured. Of the 3 times we've used it, two were bad and one of these was really, really bad -- we arrived at the restaurant to find it closed with a notice on the door of repossession from the landlord! Savoured had sent us both confirmation and reminder emails about this reservation. Only 30 minutes before the actual time did they send an email admitting the restaurant itself had never confirmed. We were already en route via train and read it at the same time we saw the repossession notice on the door. We had to scramble on our own to find something else before show time and when we called Savoured about it, the individual on the line was exceedingly unhelpful and full of platitudes. The previous time that we reserved through Savoured, we arrived at a storefront restaurant that was much less than suggested by the flattering photos and glowing write-up on the site. We did not stay and had to scramble again on our own. Only one time did Savoured work as described, and that was because we knew the restaurant and had already been there.
Best App for Dining Out
Easy to use. 1 button push for reservation. 1 button push to cancel. As soon as you arrive at the restaurant, the maitre'd already knows you made the reservation on savored. They treat you very well so that you give them good reviews. No need to show your phone at the end, the bill will already have your discount applied.
Needs more work
Foundation for a good app is there but missing a lot of basic content. First off, you can't even read the entire title of some restaurants (e.g. Chicago's Home of Chicken & Waffles cuts off at the "Ch" in chicken). I'd be furious if I was a merchant. There's also little content about the restaurant - the "why we love it" section is ok, but no photos, reviews, website links, and menus aren't always available. These are typically the first things people look for when deciding on a restaurant. Find it to be a relatively lackluster search experience.
