SchoolCal offers an incredibly simple interface with which to enter any and ALL dates associated with a typical school year into an iCal calendar.
You can use either an existing calendar, or SchoolCal will create a new one for you!
In either a single session, or multiple sessions, you can create iCal Events for all the major vacation periods (Thanksgiving, Christmas, Midwinter, Spring), as well as schedule Snow Days, Late Arrival Days, No School Days, Conference Days, or whatever other type of school-associated event you wish. No data is lost in between launches; you can take as long as you need to build the calendar data before committing it to iCal.
SchoolCal is just what you need to keep yourself, your family, and any student in your life on track, and on time!
What's New in Version 1.3.0
Added ability to create iCloud calendar, some bug fixes.
Pretty darn useful
This is my favorite back-to-school app!
Although I am not a heavy iCal user, my kids are in two different schools, and I HATE entering all the stupid stuff in there to keep track of all the dates. This program suited my needs pretty well, and I only have a couple of duplications to deal with. I can live with that, plus it only took me 10 or so minutes to do both boy's schools!
No longer works; not being updated
I used to love this little app, but it hasn’t worked in over a year and there are no updates. The default year is stuck at 1234 and no events show up. Trying to transfer to a calendar creates a persistent pop up saying that no calendar is selected even when it is. It’s very disappointing. OddCal still works, but this one is completely useless unless the creator updates.
