Not for Charles Schwab customers, this is a separate account

Not sure why this isn’t made clear before Charles Schwab customers waste time with this app and login, but apparently you need to create a new second Charles Schwab account (with all of the verifications and information disclosure’s that go with any Charles Schwab account) before you can even use this app.

I have a standard Charles Schwab brokerage account, I figured I would add this app so I could monitor my portfolio, as there are about 10 different Charles Schwab apps in the iOS App Store, but this one was the only one with decent reviews. So I was pretty surprised when after being in my login and password that it prompted me to create/open a new, 2nd account.

Charles Schwab needs to get control of this and quit letting PR/advertising run their client services (thus this is why there are 10 different Charles Schwab apps in the App Store, they are simply using it as a advertising vehicle and not as a useful tool for their customers)

Simple and straightforward

This app is a watered down version of what you can access on the website which is ok for quick access at a glance. The reason I dislike it is that all of this should be included in the Schwab Mobile app. It's not convenient to have two separate apps to check my accounts at a detailed level. I've used the schwab intelligent portfolio for a little bit now and setup was easy and the service is great. Call if you need support with setting up your account. Their customer service is A+++!

Little functionality in the app

I love Schwab as a company/brokerage but their apps are sadly terrible. All other apps get updated on a weekly or biweekly basis while schwab apps get updated like once a year. Anyway, you can’t do much in this app except view some charts, you can’t even look at your exact holdings.
Lastly I have mixed feelings on this robo stock portfolio. The gains are very mediocre during the best of days, while your portfolio drops an insane amount during the bad days. I may go back to my own ETF/mutual fund strategy soon.
