This app is only available on the App Store for iOS devices.
Scoot is your shortcut to everywhere in the city. Grab one of our electric motor scooters using the app and activate it with your iPhone. You can ride it wherever you want in San Francisco and drop it off at any other Scoot location. The Scoot app unlocks your scoot and serves as your GPS and dashboard while you ride. Scoots plug into any wall outlet to recharge. No motorcycle license needed. Helmet included.
You must join Scoot and take a lesson (video or in-person) to use this app. You must be 21 years or older, have a clean and valid US driver's license, and live or work near San Francisco in order to join.
It's really easy to get scooting:
1. Download the Scoot app for iPhone here
2. Create an account and sign up for your first ride
3. After that, you're free to scoot all over town, whenever you want!

Horrible customer service and too expensive now
Scoot started off well. It is convenient and had reasonable pricing. In the last couple of months it has all gone downhill; the pricing increase has no transparency makes it no cheaper than an Uber Pool Lyft Line within the city. How is it that a pickup on the street that ends up at a garage is $4 consistently when they insist it will cost $3? Their customer service is ok for minimal things like missing helmets or broken phone cases but when it gets to substantial issues like scoots that die mid ride they are horrible. They do not trust the riders and insist on arguing details that they are clearly wrong on. I've had a couple of terrible incidents with them recently and deleted the app for good today because of one.
Not a great service anymore!
Used to be a convenient way to go around. However lately they implemented decisions I can’t explain: they removed half of the scoots, increased their prices, and enabled people to book a night in advance for free, resulting in parking lot full of scoots that are not available. The network and service has just lost all its interest.
JUST THE BEST
Don’t have a car in SF but even if I️ did I’d scoot every day. LOVE LOVE LOVE IT 💕💕💕💕
