There are crescendos, contrary to other reviews. You just have to select multiple notes (with the shift key) click the edit button, and select edit notes. This allows you to add crescendos and slurs across several notes (these are just the note settings unique to having selected multiple notes—there are more).

There are some things that could be better though. The pickup should have the song’s time signature before it, not after it. Also, when making chords or double-stops, I should be able to delete a single note instead of the whole chord/double-stop. In addition to these errors, replacing notes does not allow the change of rhythm, which is bothersome if I need to change a large set of notes from 64th-notes to 16th-notes or something similar. Another thing is that I should be able to switch order of the tracks, in case a high part needs to be added but the low part was made first. Also, trills need to be added, and grace notes, and those slurs with the number above them. The slurs with the numbers could be below the slur option in note settings, symbolized by a slur with “n” for any number over it, and selecting it allows you to pick the value of “n” and the space that number of notes/counts have to fill (i.e. quarter note). If you don’t know what these slurs with numbers are, triplets are examples of these. Also, harmonics are not available.

You should add an option for printing both the individual parts and the score. I think that’s everything.

Great so far

I've been looking for a simple app to arrange for barbershop quartets. This is the easiest one I have found so far, and I've only been using it for a half hour or so. It is the first free musical notation app I've found that didn't have one or more major drawbacks for barbershop arranging. Having said that, I would love to see clefs for barbershop notation added in a future release. I don't know their official name but they have a little 8 on top of the bass clef and below the treble clef that indicates to sing either an octave above written (for the bass clef) or an octave below written (for the treble clef). Then if the playback would play in that octave it would be perfect. Also being able to pick a direction for the note stems on harmony settings (up for the tenor and baritone parts and down for the lead and bass parts) would be a nice addition.

No chords?

This is a wonderful app overall. I can write pieces on all kinds of instruments, but I have a few complaints:
The violin sounds nothing like an actual violin or orchestra, and I was looking forward to using it since I play the violin.
It needs a violin 1,2, cello, viola, and bass, in other words, an orchestra option for a complete sound and so I can play in groups with my stringed-instrument friends
I can't find the button to make chords
Please, please consider my ideas and help me find the answers to these problems!
