Customer Reviews

This is a really good iPhone App, it's the one I usually use. But the iPad app, not so great. I gave it two stars because it always has the correct score, a little delayed, but the right score. I (I'm a Philadelphia Flyers fan) was pretty upset though when I got a notification saying "backhanded goal scored by Claude Giroux" when Kimmo Timonen just scored the goal, not G. It's so carelessly handled! Also, the app is hard to use. I mean I literally have to press 10 buttons to see the score. You should be able to see your favorite teams score right when you launch the app. Just to let you know, you'd be better off buying your teams official app, and if not possible, try signing up for bleacher report. ✨

Always Frustrating

The ESPN app for the iPad has been, and remains, one of the most frustrating apps I use regularly. Every update is buggy and it is virtually impossible to use an ESPN app and not inadvertently click through to an ad that you had not intention of clicking on. I realize it is all about the dollars, but I find the intrusive and annoying presence of far too many ads to be a huge factor in my declining use of this application. ESPN is approaching the tipping point with me - and I suspect with many others as well. There is only so much I can put up with before I give up completely on the self-proclaimed worldwide leader in sports.

Borderline worthless

There's no way this app is this bad by accident. The updates are late. Relevant developments seem to arrive by USPS. The details are scarce and effectively meaningless. This has to be the effect of some beanhead quant thinking that people who watch ca/stv will continue to watch tv - therefore leave any quality on the tv version (which has gotten much worse also, btw). It's terrible (not in the Barkley funny way either). Awful. So disappointing. Fox (or someone else): please create a better sports app so I can delete this nearly worthless, pathetic shadow of what used to be a very solid app.
