Great for beginners

I just bought his lighting book and this app is a great companion. I like being able to see the equipment in use and to see how his shots evolve after minor lighting adjustments. I used to find even the thought of studio lighting to be intimidating, but now I can't wait to set up a simple studio.

Two nits: I can't get the sound to work and have to use my headphones (maybe I've got a setting wrong somewhere but music plays through the speakers. My other nit is that in one of the videos he mentions that he'll discuss lens choices later and I expected to see a videos for lenses but there isn't one that I can find.

Helpful for me

This app is great for me. I don't have time to sit and watch a video at home and I learning from a book, while helpful, gets confusing sometimes. I always have my phone with me and can watch the videos during free time anywhere. As far as the sound issue, I thought I had it too but it turned out the video sound only plays when my phone is not on vibrate. The iPod sound still plays when it is on vibrate (silent). Not sure why the difference but I hope this helps someone.

5 Star Content, 3 Star App

Great content. He app needs work: doesn't remember what you've already watched or pick up where you leave off. Not terrible but should be much more polished to carry the Kelby training brand.

Still highly useful and recommended.
