What's New in Version 2.1
+ Brand-new custom export sheet! Say goodbye to the plain action sheet and hello to a completely custom export experience with a bunch of new features:
• “Inactive” exports won’t show by default but can be revealed by pulling up on the export sheet. (You can also hide exports you never want to see.)
• Delete a note directly from the export sheet by tapping the trash icon.
• Jump to settings from the export sheet to quickly customize your export options.
• Exports now show their icons for quicker visual recognition.
Exporting is a core feature of Scratch and we’ve been working hard to get this new workflow just right. We’d love your feedback and hope you find it as useful as we do.
As always, find us on Twitter @ScratchByKarbon and please take a moment to rate the app. Thanks for your support!
Absolutely the best
This app is now officially my absolute favorite way to type out notes when I need to immediately. I no longer use the standard note taking app that comes standard with all iPhones and iPads.
It couldn't be easier. Just open up the app and proceed to type whatever it is you need to write information about, then once you're done you hit the little button that looks like a clock and it saves it until you decide to delete it.
From there you could do one of two things. You can either setup the app to open a blank page once you've closed and re-opened the app, or just by simply pressing the + sign you are given a new blank page to write down more notes.
It's that simple and it's that easy, so once you decide to give this app a try you quickly learn why I soly use this as opposed to the standard note taking app that's pre-installed on almost all of Apple's devices.
So give it a try and you certainly won't be disappointed, it really is that amazing and good!
The best iOS note taking app.
Just needs a night mode option, iPad optimization, and markdown preview option.
Even without these features, Scratch is still a 5 star app.
Latest update feels less native, but adds more quick action options. I really preferred the old native view, but understand what the goal was with creating their own GUI. The background image really just feels horribly out of place in this otherwise stark app. Hopefully that can be addressed in an update. Even just a stock color would make this view so much better.
Additionally, I should note that I realized markdown preview can be attained easily by creating an email export option that always coverts to HTML. Just cancel the email after previewing.
One of my most-used apps
Scratch has a permanent spot on my home screen – it's super-handy for jotting down quick notes and thoughts. Integration with Dropbox means new notes instantly appear on my computer and the plethora of export options really helps me keep things organized.
