• A VNC Server, such as UltraVNC or TightVNC, is required to connect to a Windows PC.
• Windows and Linux PCs can only send or receive text and URLs.
• Screens will not receive any sound from your computer. This is a limitation of the RFB protocol the app is using.
• Screens Connect requires OS X 10.6.8 Snow Leopard or later. You will need to create a free Screens ID.

Changed my review to 5 stars
I had previously written a negative review as since the upgrade I just couldn’t connect. Customer support hung in with me, trying to locate the problem, and it turned out to be one simple setting in my router. I hadn’t set the IP address correctly in the Network settings in my router. Once that was corrected, it is working flawlessly, much quicker than trying to connect remotely with Screen Sharing (which I do like and am grateful to have). I think the documentation for the functions of the Screens Connect app could use some better explanation. I found I didn’t need it on my office computer, but did install it on the computers connecting remotely with using the manual configuration for port settings. Now that it is running so well, I may go back and let Screens Connect automatically set to see if that now works as it did with the previous version of Screens Connect. Thank you customer support!
