Almost Perfect

This app is awesome. The only thing I could think of which would make it better is grouping of layers in the generated document. For example, each status icon on the menu bar gets its own layer in the document -- it would be great for these to all be grouped together in order to make managing layers easier.

Very nice app

If you do a lot of training documentation and video tutorials, this app is an amazing way to capture your screen and remove unwanted distractions. Simple and effective. Would agree that it would be nice to group the layering, but doesn’t make or break the app at all.

Not for Multiple Monitors

Grab allows you the option of capturing the entire screen, a window,a selection, or a timed screen.

ScreenShot is only going to caputre the entire screen.
If you have multiple monitors being used, all screens of your monitors are captured into one file by ScreenShot.

ScreenShot only seems to be mimicing Apples own keystroke command for capturing the screen.
Command-Shift-4 (w/wo spacebar).

ScreenShot file type is different so it allows a pixel editor to open it directly.

Other optional apps:
Skitch, Monosnap, Jing.

With multiple monitors, ScreenShot is not very useful.
