Open the Mac App Store to buy and download apps.
Enjoy a quick and easy way to take screenshots from your menu bar. Just click the camera menu bar icon and choose one of the four options:
1. Window to File- after selecting this option move the mouse over a window (it highlights) and click for a screenshot of the window including a beautiful drop shadow. It doesn't matter if the window is obscured or partially off screen.
2. Area to File - draw a box for the area to be screenshot.
3. Window to Clipboard
4. Area to Clipboard
After selecting an option, you can also press the space bar to switch between rectangle and window capture modes. You can also press esc to cancel.
With the two File options the screenshot will be captured to a high quality PNG, saved and automatically opened in Preview, from Preview you can copy it, save it or use the share button to email it, simple as that!
With the two Clipboard options the screenshot will be captured to the clipboard and can be pasted into any application you like.
What's New in Version 1.2
- Option to open in Preview after capture.
Sweet! Window to File worked great!
Ok so I've only used it once now but it worked great! I clicked on Window to File and it prompted for a file name. It didn't let me choose a file type but it ends up being PNG which is what I wanted (and what the app description said) and then opened in Preview. I just turned of the option to open in Preview. Very nice and free! Nice Job!
Just what I was looking for to clip images or partial screen for paste elsewhere…documents, emails. Simple and functional. Was surprisingly difficult to fine this simple tool in the App Store. Thanks you!
Please add Retina Support
Nice simple App, exactly what I was looking for. Would like to see support for the Retina displays. I take and send a lot of screenshots via email and having the images 2x is no good for the users on the other end.
Otherwise great, simple app!
