Customer Reviews

This app is not for real people living in the real world

Most fish in grocery stores doesn't have the level of information on the label that the app specifies, nor do most restaurant menus. The list I downloaded from your website a few years ago was much more useful. I was looking for an update, but this app is overwhelming in its specificity of information that I can't verify when I'm buying fish. Why not tell me which brands and restaurant chains are better or worse. I just wanted to know if wild Alaska salmon is still ok and what kind of canned tuna is ok or to be avoided, but I'm no better off than before I looked at the app. This app is apparently designed for wealthy foodies, not for ordinary consumers trying to make better choices. By the way, Apple, you dumped my whole review when my nickname was already taken. Why don't you tell me to pick a different nickname BEFORE I type a whole paragraph with one finger?!

Cant search the way I want

You took away my ability to search by region. I'm not interested in just searching based on where I am right this minute. If you dont give me back my regional search (like, northeast for new England seafood), i'll be deleting this as useless to me. Also, I dont know how you have almost no sustainable partners in New England, a huge seafood region. I should just search for a new app just for New England or Eastern Seacoast region. Monterey focuses really on west coast.

Rich, informative, well-designed!

I used to get the paper seafood watch guides from the MBA as a kid. I'm so glad those have evolved into such an incredible, information-rich app!
