This is an easy to use but powerful image editor. It supports "layers". Imagine GIMP/Photoshop "light" - most of the features non-professionals need to create awesome images.
This incredible software is originally the amazing work of Mark Pazolli and many others (see the credits in the user guide).
I've cleaned it up to work with the latest OS versions, made some UI updates, some performance and usability improvements, and release it to the world via the App Store !

"recents bar" to quickly select recently used drawing tools - restoring the brush, texture and colors. It works for pencil, brush, and bucket. You can now import 'SVG' directly without plug-ins - thanks to PocketSVG. Fix for users running OSX prior to 10.13 where the toolbar did not allow tool selection.
Ratings and Reviews
I've been using seashore for years to make holiday cards for my family. It's been a wonderful successor to appleworks and macpaint (I'm old!)
It fills that niche. It's easy to get up and running with it, but it has much more depth than easy draw and stuff like that. At the same time, it doesn't have an overwhelming amount of complex tools that you need to learn.
And I have done so much with it!
I'm thrilled that they've updated it. I had partitioned my mac with an older OS, so I could keep using it.
A nice, minimal GIMP
This provides a useful subset of the features in GIMP, but it is much faster to load and easier to use when you don’t need all the power of GIMP.
This latest version seems to load a lot faster than the my previous version.
I use Seashore to crop photos, add text, add signatures and initials to pdf’s, and lots of stuff.
2d best feature: Seashore is my favorite price, FREE.
