I was browsing for tickets and made the careless assumption that the SeatGeek app was only showing me local home games for the Warriors. I mistakenly ordered 6 tickets, but the game is in Memphis! I admit that's my bad, I should've paid closer attention, but I'm rating SeatGeek 1 star for what has happened after that...
I tried cancelling the order because I only got an email that the tickets were pending confirmation and that I'd receive an email later confirming the purchase. SeatGeek responded that even though I didn't receive a confirmation, the order had indeed been processed and that they are just a search engine and have no way of cancelling my order and refunding my money and they suggest I just try to re-sell the tickets. Though I was quite annoyed, I was willing to live with my mistake and just try to re-sell my tickets, but now several days later I still have not received the confirmation email with my tickets! I contacted SeatGeek again pleading with them to just cancel the order. I got an even lamer response this time and they said to contact them if I haven't received my tickets within 2 to 3 days of the event, which is 2 and a half months from now. How the crap am I supposed to re-sell tickets that I've paid for, but don't have? Hopefully I'll get my tickets in time to be able to recover my $600, thanks SeatGeek for the lousy customer service 👎
Absolute Rip off!
I bought tickets to a game at $58 dollars a ticket. Less than an hour later a got an email stating the tickets could not be confirmed and my order had cancelled. So I went on and bought a similar set of tickets from a vendor called ticketnetwork for the same price of $58 a ticket. The next morning a got a call from seat geek telling me the tickets could not be confirmed even though the previous day I got an email telling me they had been processed and my card was charged! When I called to find out what happened I got some run around story about how the seller ticketnetwork had refused the sale. Meanwhile the same ticket I bought for $58 had now risen to $350!!! When I explained this to the seatgeek rep they simply stated they couldn't do anything for me but they would be more than happy to charge me $350 a ticket for a new seat!!! Are you serious? Why would I pay $350 a ticket when I bought the same ticket a day earlier at $58! When I contacted ticketnetwork I got the same run around story about how they are only middle men and the seller refused the sale. Now I have no tickets and family that bought airline an ticket to come to the game only to watch it on tv. Zero trust in this company and the sellers they use. Don't use them! You will be left out to dry if the ticket increases at all in price!
App can glitch and charge you for additional tickets
My app glitched slightly when trying to purchase tickets. It said there was a network error so I quit the app and opened again to purchase again. There was no prompt to confirm the purchase but apparently it went though. Checked my email and 2 additional tickets were bought when the app glitched. The seller is a sister sit to SeatGeek and is saying they can't do anything and to resell the tickets on SeatGeek (losing me money but SeatGeek gets the fees so they profit). Still trying to resolve but I would stay away. Not worth the frustration.
