Great App

This is a really fabulous App. For well over a year I thought that Seeking Alpha was tied to the triple-weighted gold ETF "NUGT". How stupid could I be?!! I had somehow started receiving Seeking Alpha Emails concerning NUGT over a year ago when I was actively trading NUGT on its way down, way down. At that time Seeking Alpha wasn't telling me anything I didn't know myself. Yet the point here is that they WERE telling me what I DID know myself. So, in a kind of innocuous way I began to trust Seeking Alpha!! Then, recently, I stumbled upon this App and realized that Seeking Alpha provides commentary on lots of stocks; in fact they provide commentary on every stock in my portfolios and as I familiarized myself with this commentary over the last few weeks I realized the same trust factor I had developed over a year ago with NUGT alone. I trust this App completely based on actual knowledge I developed myself while NOT knowing what Seeking Alpha really was!! This experience of mine should speak volumes to you. This is a great App. You will love it and learn to trust and relish the commentary just like I did.

Finally got it fixed. Must have been a hard one but they fixed it and the app is back. Use it all the time to get news on a sample portfolio. It crawls the web and finds news stories plus contributor articles and research. Best I have found.

The app crashes every time on iPhone 6. If you reload the app, it will work for a couple of days and then crash again.. I have reported it to their development team several times and even tried a beta version at their suggestion which crashes immediately. The app also crashes if you click on an alert they send you from a portfolio you have set up. With the beta you don't even get a couple of days. I am finished with Seeking Alpha.

Quite Useful

On top of several other investment portfolio apps and my brokers app that also monitors my portfolio, I find that Seekng Alpha serves a needed purpose in that it provides timely notifications on significant happenings on my investment holdings along with a succinct summary of the ramifications of those happenings. These summaries have been very useful in sorting through the "noise" to get to actionable moves regarding stocks, ETFs, bonds, funds, and so on. For example today it was rumored that Buffet had taken a large position in Apple. I received a notification this morning that discussed the rumor and set forth the reasoning that the rumor may not be true. Very timely and useful information.
