Are you afraid your macbook will get stolen?
Is your roommate or spouse snooping on you?
Ever wanted to make time-lapse video of how you looked every day?
Do you make a lot of selfies for Twitter and Facebook?

Automatic Selfie App will help you!
The app was covered on Cult of Mac!

The Selfie App uses facetime (iSight) camera to take a selfie photo every time you open the macbook lid (or just wake macbook or iMac from sleep).

Moreover! The photo is captured before you log in. People who don't know your password will be photographed anyway!

If you choose Dropbox folder as a destination for your selfies you'll get them automatically synchronised and available from other devices.

Some people switched from PC to macbook just to have this app! :-)

Needs a way to take a picture when you log on

Seems to work well. My biggest complaint is that I leave my laptop open and on.

It times out and I log back on in the morning.

The software only take a picture when you shut and open the screen. Would be nice if it would just take a picture every day or when you log on to the computer.

Interesting Idea - Needs work

Hard to complain about anything that you are only paying 99 cents for, so I am not complaining just reporting. Hopefully the designer will read this and take my suggestions to make his app more to my liking.

1) Needs a preference selection of camera. I use an app called iglasses and whatever my last setting was or the camera I have it directed to will capture the selfie app photo. there needs to be a way to select which camera or use the camera that is built into the computer as default.

2) there needs to be a burst mode, or preference to record a video.

I wish the app developer good luck and hope that he takes my suggestions and implents them into the app.

Selfie App Rocks!

1. I paid for the app, please don’t force your URL branding on my photos. At least give users the option to disable this. Lame.
2. No option to pick which camera is used for dual-display setups :( Please fix.

Otherwise, cool idea.
