Sequence is a circular audio and MIDI sequencer using the euclidean algorithm. Don't let that scare you: SequenceApp makes generating complex rhythms an easy and tap-friendly experience, helping you create eclectic drum patterns great for techno and other kinds of electronic music. Use it in the studio or on the go.
### Features ###
- Eight looping patterns across 4 screens
- Configure steps and fills for instantly groovy rhythms
- 30 samples from classic drum machines including the 909 and 808
- MIDI output support
- Save and load your sets
- BPM control between 60 and 200
### Tips n' Tricks ###
- Double tab pattern number in the pattern settings screen enable/disable the loop
Please add background functionality. It has virtual midi out which is great, but would be even better to be able to tweak your receiving app without losing the beat. Also think about making it universal, utilizing the extra screen space so you don't have to flip screens constantly to access rhythm and output settings. Still it's very cool, fun and useful.
cute, but not very useful
cute idea, but not very performative. i can't find any way to sync, there is no way to quickly turn on and off loops, there are too many windows to navigate through to do anything, including the fact that there are 4 separate windows for patterns. the iPad is just a scaled iPhone version, low res. it would be nice to be able to manually perturb the nodes, not just use basic polygons. creative, but not really worth it in my opinion.
Rhythmic sweetness! I really dig playing with these euclidean rhythms... the offset beats can be really fun to groove with. This is an easy app to get sucked into! I am extra-appreciative of the choice to include some Kempul sounds, straight from Indonesian gamelan ensemble. GOOOOOONNNNNNNG!!!!!
