Pro tip: Before buying Set List Maker, check out its big brother, BandHelper.

Set List Maker is a powerful organizational tool for musicians. With thousands of people around the world using the app in creative ways, the app is packed with features to manage your repertoire, control your on-stage electronics and share with your bandmates.

Set List Maker can store your lyrics and chord charts, but it can also keep track of your rehearsal notes and serves as an archive of all your set lists. You can include multiple reference recordings for each song, slow down or pitch-shift recordings while practicing,* transpose chords with one touch, and make a quick recording if inspiration strikes.* Then design your own screen layouts to show the most important information in each setting you play in.

Set List Maker can display your lyrics with simple auto-scrolling or custom automation tracks,* play backing tracks and click tracks through separate audio ports or inter-app audio,* play videos,* and configure MIDI-compatible sound and lighting equipment as you move from song to song.* You can control Set List Maker with MIDI* or Bluetooth footswitches, and link together multiple devices for screen sharing or remote control on stage.*

Set List Maker can can export databases and import them onto your bandmates' mobile devices so everyone has access to the latest songs, set lists, and details of upcoming shows. You can also email set lists in PDF or HTML format, or print good old paper set lists to keep it simple on stage.

Some advanced features (*) require an in-app purchase. For details, please visit the Set List Maker website, which also contains tutorials and demo videos to help with your purchase decision.

What’s New

Version 5.3.21

- Fixed the sorting by Last Performed and Frequency Performed in smart lists.

- Fixed the sending of MIDI Song Select messages from layouts that contain only the set list.

- Fixed a problem that prevented the on-screen keyboard appearing for an email message when remote control is enabled.

- Added a .txt extension after the .db file extension for emailed database files, to prevent other apps from marking them as binary files that can't be imported.

Great lyric book!

I’ve been a singer for a long time. All different genres and styles. As such I have a boatload of notebooks and 3-ring binders full of song lyrics. This AWESOME app allows me to put all of my lyrics in one place on my iPad.

The ease of importing lyrics from the web made it so easy to transfer ALL of my song lyrics to the app. It’s really easy to put lyrics to your own songs in too. I’m involved in a few different projects, and always doing guest spots so I love having the ability to create set lists for each project using the master song list.

This is a great app. I no longer have to carry a huge case with books full of lyrics. Worth every penny just for that! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

yes, used to be great

If i can only cleanup my database of mistakes doing batch imports of songs and midi presets, AND copy songs and midi presets between databases (for different bands) I would keep using this. I feel like i deserve these simple features for the money I paid. I am used to selecting multiple things in deleting in almost every computer I use. Pretty simple it seems. But no, still not available despite it being pretty obviously needed by others in the forum.

Honestly, NOT to bash, just an honest observation, the developer got greedy, it seems. I have seen logical and reasonable feature requests that got answered with something like, “Sorry not available but if you upgrade to bandhelper...”

I have switched to OnSong.

Set List Maker can copy songs and MIDI presets between databases. Set List Maker didn't get the batch edit functions because BandHelper has a web interface and it's easier to pack a lot of editing options into that compared to a mobile app screen. If you back up your database before importing, you can then reload your backup if you make a mistake.

Not good!!!!

My purpose to purchase this app that I can share my screen/music chart to all musician while playing on stage but the connectivity is really bad. When I open song/chart from the host iPad p, it takes too long to show change on the follower iPads. The test was to put 2 iPads side by side. To test putting away 5-10 ft then we couldn't get the connection at all.
If u disregard this feature then I guess you are fine. If I don't need this wireless feature to share screen, then I rather use forScore or NextPage3 app instead
