RIP S Jones but...
Using an app on a phone made in sweat shops where people work long hours doing work that is not rewarding for next to no pay to complain about a job that pays and/or is rewarding and is not a dead end job-Isn't it ironic?
If you feel unsafe-quit! Walk off the set. This is America you will get unemployment and find more work. This app will not save anyone's life. Nor would it have saved the AC for whom it's named after.
That being said-
I'm sorry for the loss of S Jones and wish the best of luck to her family in their recovery from this tragedy.
Excellent but needs a small change
This app is an excellent production tool putting potentially life-saving information at our fingertips. I recommend it for everyone.
The main safety number listed though just rings the desk at Local 600. I'd like it if that number were just listed as Local 600 and there was a place for individuals to enter the name and number of their own business agents or their local safety officer.
Great app for anyone on set
As SAG member, this is an excellent resource. Having it on hand quickly is a huge benefit, rather than having to fumble through the SAG website looking for the right number to call, especially if you're out of the zone, in poor service areas. Anyone who works on location should have this app.
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
