san francisco bicycle commuter must
if you ride a bike anywhere in san francisco between march and november, you know there can be 30 degree differentials from one side of town to the other [i.e. my bike commute from downtown to ocean beach]. so any whether app that tells you what the temperature is in "san francisco" is inherently wrong. this is the only weather app i have found that neatly displays multiple current temperatures in san francisco.
i can't give it five stars yet … it's pretty thin in features [how great would it be if it showed a real time fog grid? dynamic update? temp color gradient? zoom? etc], but this has become the most important/relevant weather app on my phone on the weekdays eight months of the year.
Good idea, a few improvements needed
Good app. Useful for anybody looking for the sun in SF. Two ideas to make it even better: 1. put the weather forecast in map view as well. It doesn't make sense to click on every neighborhood to see where the best weather will be. 2. Don't forget the fog. Sfgate has a good fog animation forecast for the next 24h. Can you add these two?
Wow, I am so excited that this exists. The weather reports that give one number, or even three, for SF are pathetic. It's great to have a more detailed picture of what temps are really like. I live in a mid zone so it can go either way from my house, now I can predict more accurately. I agree with a few other people that there are some holes, but it's a vast improvement over an average temp for the whole city.
