Dive into a gripping adventure deep beneath the ice of Antarctica in the year 1910 in this cinematic, storydriven touch adventure.
Step into the boots of Haakon - the last survivor of a polar expedition gone horribly wrong - and venture into the depths of the mysterious ice cavern that holds many riddles and secrets of the past.
Tundra the sled dog wil become your closest friend as you travel deeper into cave and enter the darkest corners of Haakons mind.
***We are terribly sorry for the bugs and crashing issues you may have encountered, but since Shadow of Kharon was a school production, we unfortunately don't have time to fix all the issues. Instead, here's a list of known bugs and ways to avoid them:
If you encounter that the game crashes:
*Try quitting all other Apps before starting the game since it's probably due to memory problems.
*In waterfall level, be careful not to stress the game to avoid crashing. Patience should do the trick here.
*The dog disappears when you tell him to fetch the penguin. The game has not crashed at this point. The dog has just become invisible (for reasons unknown). You need to wait for invisible dog to get the penguin, then the game will continue.
*We recommend that you play through the entire game in one session (should take about 1 hour) Quitting the game could lead to some saving issues.
- We hope that will still enjoy Haakon and Tundras adventure despite the bugs :)***
What's New in Version 1.1
Crashing bug is fixed. Should run on iPad 2 and later.
Found the answer, need to restart from beginning
Okay, so now I found out that after the fix for the crash when you first use the clock, there was another crash in the cave with the dead guy.
I just gave up and started from the beginning again and was able to play to the end.
I loved, loved the game, the animation, the atmosphere and the story , however it was way, way to short. I wanted MORE!
Great job and congratulation on such a great game, everything was perfect when it worked and I hope very much that we will get a sequel to the story , maybe he will reach the pole after all and with the help of the watch will be able to go back and rescue Tundra. I loved Tundra ! Well good game, 5 stars! Plea bring us more and thank you for making this a free game.
Please make a nother one were Yu save John and tundra please and I will rate every one of your games
5 stars it was short but awesome
Crash Bug still not fixed, Alas!
Update: After nearly a third of a year, still no game update for repeated crashing. :o(
What a beautiful and promising app... I think. If I could just get past the app repeatedly crashing ( right after the prehistoric tree is chopped down with the ice axe to make a bridge). I cleared RAM, closed and rebooted my iPad 2 (running iOS 5.1.1). After deleting and reloading this app twice (over wifi), sadly, it still crashed, crashed, and crashed. One crash even netted me a temporarily frozen (three minutes or so) black screen and the fear that I would have to restore my device from a backup...
**Developers: Please don't run default beta testing after your app's release onto the app store, and, *please* make updates backwardly compatible for older devices running iOS versions they were designed for. Think of the frustration and time wasted for so many users out here (many will not take the additional time and trouble to even post a review). I will check back and hopefully discover that I can successfully enjoy your work and then perhaps revise my review accordingly. Good luck in your next attempt to make this app playable!
