I have this app on both my iPhone and iPad. It is a scholarly work on those. I can access folio versions, there are line numbers, there are all kinds of added things. But the app for the Mac is simply the texts of the plays without line numbers even. Wait till it comes up to the mobile versions before buying it.

We've updated the app twice. Have you updated yet? The new Shakespeare Pro 1.3.1 now has notetaking features and the Shakespeare's Words glossary. I love this app
It is just excellent. Easy to read and navigate. Easy to take notes and highlight. Acts, scenes, line numbers--all there. Worth springing for the vocabulary add-on. I had a slow day on campus today, so I opened it up and dove into Henry VI, Part 1. And it gives you a Shakespeare quote of the day every morning. An obvious labor of love and well worth more than I would normally pay for an app.
NOTEBOOKS DON'T WORK LAPTOP LOCKS
I hate this app. I tried to use the notebook function and it would not allow note taking. I tried to quit. It would not . quit. I tried to resart my MacBooks, it wouldn't quit. Finally, I used Force Quit. It quit. I'm quitting this app. Waste of time and money.
