SharedTime shows the impact of everyday volunteers and inspires others to join the movement. When you volunteer, you do more than than just share your time - you share yourself. Through giving, volunteers build their communities, locally, globally and culturally. They make the world, and themselves, a better place. There are many wrongs in the world today that need to be set right...from poverty to disease, human rights to the environment - the list is growing all the time. The volunteer stories presented on SharedTime are a brief glimpse into the lives of ordinary people, just like you, working to address the problems that affect us all.

The stories are a celebration of the work already being done, and a call to action:

Share Your Time.

Build a better world.

Build a better you.

A really great and innovative platform for delivering stories via mapping. The stories are
fantastic, and the delivery of them is fresh. I can imagine this getting bigger. A lot bigger.
Like what if we mapped all of Canada or all of the U.S. - stories that happened on benches,
at a restaurant, by that maple tree in the park. Where you fell in love or learned that you were adopted
or got the phone call saying that your nephew had been born. Amazing.

Simply wonderful

What a wonderfully direct and simple way to access curated materials in an otherwise endless and overwhelming sea of online media. I hope for similar collections of stories about people and places in my own community.

Well worth your time
