Sheet Music Live HD

Open iTunes to buy and download apps.
This iPad application creates sheet music views from music files (midi) downloaded from the internet or your own library. The audio is rendered in-time with the staff, which provides an ideal learning tool for beginning to advanced musicians.

I had been searching for so long...
I have to give a big "Thank you!!" to the developers of this app. After finally getting serious about learning to play the keyboard I've owned for years, I downloaded several piano apps for my Ipad trying to find one that would do what I needed. Of all the apps, this is the only one that does exactly what I need... it shows me the notes as they are being played on both the sheet music and the keyboard (the sheet music actually shows a group of notes, not one at a time). And, most importantly, it lets me upload songs from my own music library as long as I have them in midi files (I've been able to find some online and I'm currently looking into an Mp3 to Midi conversion program). The desire to learn to play my own favorite songs rather than someone else's selections is what inspires me to put in the time and effort.
This app does force close on me quite often, but it also works well if I can tolerate reopening it when I have to. I know a lot of work has gone into this app and I suspect the developers are working on the problem(s). Again, thanks to the developers!
Is a good app with great potential, not perfect but being a developer my self I know a lot of work has gone into it, for that alone the app deserves 5 stars. A couple of things that could be improved.
The interface could look better, but it does the job.
The PDF rendering could use help, by letting the user input the beat of the midi file instead of drawing it from the midi file it self. Also the bass lines could be transposed up an octave so that they look like bass parts.
It would be cool if you could load midi filed from iTunes.
If you work with midi files I am sure you can find a use for this app
Excellent, 10 Stars!
This is the app I've been waiting for! Considering there are thousands of top quality midi files on the internet. My band covers jazz tunes and we use this app to learn to play the songs; instantly shows the charts for every instrument and even lightsup the keys on the piano display. The region looping, realtime tempo and key adjust are invaluable toolsfor learning songs. The sound is crisp, would LOVE to connect to my Synclavier. A few features I would like:
* Guitar chords on the fretboard display
* Connection toMidi Mobilizer for my Synclavier
* Lyrics on the sheet music display
Overall very satisfied, keep the features coming!
