FIXED: An issue with iOS 6
Sorry for the inconvenience!
Save a tree somemore!
At the store so many of us are taking our own bags to help the environment either by saving a tree or leaving less plastic in the land fills. This app has helped me save even more trees! No more making sure I have my shopping list - if I have my phone I have my list :-D. Not to say that I could not use the notes function on my phone, but the way this app is set up I can fill in how many/much I need of an item & the location it is in the store, saving me that one more look over of my list & then racing to the other side of the store for something o forgot! As a person who plans out our dinners in 2 week menus this app has been a great help for me on the shopping list side of things!!! Thanks for having it out there & great screen shots so you can SEE some of the features BEFORE you download it!!! MAHALO NUI LOA -NaPua
p.s now that I have an iPad too would love it if the app could update what I do on the list on my phone or my iPad & update each other like my rook reading app does ;)
Simple, easy-to-use app that does just what it ought to. A great tool for shoppers who want a comprehensive list at their fingertips & great for planning in advance what you'll spend. Also very handy to have all your items sorted by store section so that you minimize backtracking. The only thing that would make it perfect is if it came with pre-programmed with some of the most common shopping items instead of having to build a database from scratch. This is a small suggestion though. Overall I've found this app to be great; I use it all the time. UPDATE: A great & bar-setting move would be to make a single list shareable amongst users, so that two (or more) devices could access the same list by being logged into the same account. Add a "refresh" button to get updates & you have real-time cooperative shopping.
So close, but not close enough
This app is really frustrating, because they came so close to what a good grocery list app should be, but don’t take it far enough to be truly useful. Customizable categories are great, but you can’t customize the categories by store (or “shopping list”, in the app terminology). How many stores do you know that are physically laid out in exactly the same way? None, right? So why would I have the same set of categories that is universal to all stores? If this app went the extra step and let you map its categories to aisle numbers in your favorite stores, you would have the be-all and end-all of grocery store apps. As it is, this is unfortunately no improvement over my previous method of using a spreadsheet, divided by aisle with different tabs for each of the stores I shop in. Too bad. Sorry I paid for this app.
