This program, geared for very young people just learning to read, allows children to quickly and easily create short words of the consonant-vowel-consonant pattern by simply tapping the screen. The new word appears with a "one-armed bandit" display along with a definition. Invalid or inappropriate words cannot be created. This is ideal for learning some new words, reinforcing the sounds of letters, and simple word families. A more experienced reader may have to help with some of the definitions. Early readers can try to guess what the next word will be when they tap one of the three letters.
Simple & functional. I think it's a great app. Not only for decoding three letter words, simple definitions included! Helps to break a bad sight word habit for older kids that guess at three letter words.
A fun and easy way for my son (4 years old) to learn and play with simple words. I've found he is very interested in words and their meaning at this age.
Great for learning how to manipulate phonemes in all positions .
