Shrinkr is an application that brings the best URL shortening services right to your Mac's menu bar. Simply copy a long URL from your web browser, press a shortcut, and paste in the short URL into an email, text document, iMessage, Tweet, Facebook post, or anywhere else you can imagine!
>> Copy a URL to you clipboard, then click the Shrinkr Anchor icon in the menu bar to have the URL copied into the app. Then, another click on the service you wish to use will cause the long URL to be shortened, and copied back to your clipboard.
>> Shrinkr works with the best URL shortening services, including: Bit.ly, Goo.gl, Is.gd, X.co, and TinyURL.
>> Log in with your Bit.ly account to shorten URLs with your own custom domain name, and save your shortening history to your online Bitly.com account.
>> Keyboard shortcuts make it easy to shorten a URL without ever leaving your application. Simply set a shortcut in the Preferences > Shortcut window. Shortcuts can be used with your chosen default shortening service, or can be used to bring up the "More" window to shorten with any service.
>> OS X Mountain Lion Notification Center support alerts you when a URL has been shortened, or an error has occurred.
>> You have fine-grain controls for muting sounds, or turning off notifications.

Did Not Work
As the title said, this app did not do what it was supposed to do. You’re better off just going to one of the URL shrinker sites and using it instead.
