Shuffleboard is a great app, its actually still fun after an hour
I'm not a die hard shuffleboard fan, but this app kept me entertained even after playing for more than an hour. It works really well as a two player game (as shuffleboard in the real world tends to be better with two players. What surprised me is that even in one player mode it is still pretty fun. The computer is a convincing competitor and there are sufficent options to make the game more difficult or wacky (by toggling friction or adding bumpers).
Fun and well done game.
I was curious when I first saw it, and since the price was fair I took the plunge. I've got to say I am glad I did. This is really well done. Graphically it could use some attention as the esthetics could be a little more refined. But the actual mechanics and game play is really a lot of fun. I like that this stands out with a completely different play style than anything else available right now. Great choice in an app to develop, and great work in the execution. Fine tune the visuals and this would be a stellar example. Awesome work guys.
Not worth $2.99
*Graphics are not impressive, nor accurate (pucks don't look much like shuffleboard pucks, don't spin when you throw them). *Physics aren't very good. Hint: turn the Friction setting almost all the way down to get something closer to a real shuffleboard table. Still though, the pucks don't behave as they do on a normal table where they will suddenly lose momentum quickly at the end. This would be an okay free game. I wouldn't pay $2.99 for it again :(
